Elastomeric urethane resin bonds brass particles with a stainless steel core and shaft to make a compact and dense mallet with a little dampening to prevent damage to tool handles. Comfortable to hold by the shaft or to cradle in your palm. Equally well suited to carving, chopping joinery, and other blunt object striking. It's a mallet, not a hammer! This tool is intended for striking blunt tools such as chisels, broad-ended punches, and similar struck tools, Using this mallet to strike sharp objects or hard corners may damage the composite.
